'Pride
Sets the Hearts of All on Fire' THE
INFERNO
Dante
Every
time she steps behind the turntables, Dj Pride brings
her own indelible style to the mix. From funky grooves
to dark tribal beats, this club chameleon commands the
room, while still maintaining a musical landscape and
journey throughout her sets. An intimate lounge,
after-hours, or poolside on a Sunday afternoon…Pride
saturates any venue with her energy, unique style, and
technical prowess. Gay, straight, or mixed; they all
surrender to the dynamic fusion of her sound.
Pride’s passion for dance music dates back to her
colorful childhood; illuminated by the final glow of
Studio 54 and the heyday of legendary NYC venues such as
Palladium, Limelight and Sound Factory. By her early
teens, Pride was sneaking in to the hottest clubs in
Manhattan and spinning in her bedroom. By the late-'90s,
she had spun her way through college performing at many
events and nightclubs in the gay communities of NY, NJ
and Connecticut. It was at that time that Pride decided
to devote her life to music and djing.
Gaining momentum, Pride won the Club NYC Spin-Off and
was named the best rising talent in Manhattan. She spent
the next few years making the rounds at several of New
York’s top venues including: Limelight, Mark Nelson’s
Boy’s Night at Cheetah, Bar85, the Tunnel and Irving
Plaza.
Since her move to South Beach in the 2001, Pride has
come into her own as an artist. Receiving the
distinction of becoming a National Billboard Reporter.
She has made multiple Circuit appearances at White
Party, Reunion 7, Winter Party, Spoiled Boyz, Gay Days
and Aqua Girl, and local performances at Salvation,
Crobar, Level, Firestone, Space34, Envy, Blue. As well
as her Canadian debut in Montreal during Black & Blue
Festival.
Notwithstanding her residencies at TWIST, Score and
Palace , She continues to attain new levels of success
and an ever-expanding fan base with national
performances in Aspen, Dallas, Houston, Detroit,
Atlanta, and NYC including the distinction working with
internationally renowned djs inclunding: Victor
Calderone, Manny Lehman, and Danny Tenaglia.
Pride’s NY roots in deep and progressive beats, her
ingenious texturing and layering of tribal drums, sultry
vocals, disco grooves, and unsurpassed selection creates
her musical vision felt worldwide. On the Horizon; WHITE
PARTY (MIAMI), International Dates including Ecuador and
the Release of her first production.
The
Inferno has just begun…
